Freedom Boat Club

  • Can anyone become a member?

    Membership is open to anyone at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. All new members are required to complete a NASBLA Approved Safe Boater Certificate and complete our New Member Orientation on the water with one of our U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captains prior to making any reservations.
  • Where are the Michigan locations?

    There are currently 12 locations in Michigan with West Michigan members enjoying unlimited access to Grand Haven and Muskegon, as well as reciprocal access to: Algonac, Bay City, Detroit, Harrison Township, Gun Lake, Holland, Saugatuck, South Haven, St. Claire Shores, and St. Joseph.
  • Can I become a member with no boating experience?

    Yes! With our unlimited free training from our U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captains on staff, we’ll make sure you are comfortable and ready to enjoy everything boating has to offer.
  • How do I reserve a boat?

    Reserving a boat is easy! With Freedom Boat Club you can make a reservation at any time using your mobile phone, tablet, desktop, or any other internet-connected device through either our reservation website or the NEW Freedom Boat Club App.  All you need to do is pick a location, time and boat, then we’ll see you on the water!
  • Can I make a last-minute decision to use a boat?

    Absolutely! Our members enjoy unlimited spur of the moment use and are welcome to use any available boats.
  • Is there a limit to how many times I can reserve a boat?

    Our members enjoy unlimited usage at our home locations; Grand Haven and Muskegon as well as up to four times year at EVERY reciprocal location.
